Jorge Martin Names His 2025 MotoGP Title Favorite – And It’s Not Himself! Reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Martin has shared his thoughts on who he believes is the favorite to win the 2025 title – and it’s not himself or Marc Marquez, despite the latter joining the powerful Ducati factory team. Instead, Martin sees Francesco "Pecco" Bagnaia as the rider to beat this season. "Right now, I see Pecco as a favorite, with Marc very close," Martin told AS. "But then who knows. I would put myself in the top three to fight with them in some races, but others I will suffer more." Martin clinched the 2024 MotoGP title while riding for Pramac Ducati, edging out the Ducati factory riders. However, despite his success, he was overlooked for a factory Ducati seat once again, with Marquez being chosen instead. This means Bagnaia and Marquez will now form a formidable Ducati duo, riding arguably the best machinery on the grid. Martin, on the other hand, has moved to Aprilia, meaning he will need to adjust to a new bike while trying to defend his championship. He acknowledges Ducati's continued dominance, stating, "I still see Ducati as superior to other brands, and they have a great team with Pecco and Marc. There will be a lot of titles in that box, but who knows." Despite parting ways with Ducati, Martin insists there is no resentment, acknowledging that they gave him the opportunity to reach MotoGP and provided him with a competitive bike. He also reflected on his career, admitting that he once feared retiring without ever winning a championship. Now that he has secured his first MotoGP title, that concern is behind him. With Martin adapting to Aprilia, Marquez adjusting to Ducati, and Bagnaia looking to cement his dominance, the 2025 MotoGP season is set to be one of the most exciting yet. Will Martin prove himself again, or will Ducati’s star-studded lineup of Bagnaia and Marquez take control? Who do you think will win the 2025 MotoGP title? Let us know!
