EU’s Entry/Exit System (EES) Launching October 12, 2025: What Travellers Need to Know
Starting October 12, 2025, the European Union will begin the phased rollout of its new digital border control mechanism, the Entry/Exit System (EES). This automated system replaces the traditional manual passport stamping process and aims to enhance border security, streamline checks, and accurately track travel within the Schengen Area. The full implementation across all EU external borders is set to complete by April 10, 2026.
