Real Madrid

The Santiago Bernabéu is buzzing with a different kind of energy this summer, and as a lifelong Madrid fan, I can honestly say I haven't felt this optimistic about a new season in quite some time. Yes, we endured a trophyless 2024-25 campaign that left us watching Barcelona celebrate in our city, but sometimes you need to hit rock bottom to build something truly special. And that's exactly what we're doing under our new maestro, Xabi Alonso.

Real Madrid returned to LaLiga action with a convincing 4-1 victory over Las Palmas at the Bernabéu, bouncing back after a dramatic spell in cup competitions. Despite the final scoreline, the match began with a shock for Madrid fans as Las Palmas exploited defensive vulnerabilities on Lucas Vázquez’s flank to score within just 20 seconds of kickoff. To make matters worse, Brahim Díaz missed an open goal from close range soon after, amplifying the frustration in the stands. Boos from the Bernabéu faithful were audible as early as the fifth minute.

Barcelona delivered a dominant 5-2 victory over Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final on January 12, 2025, at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This win gave Barcelona their 15th Super Cup title, extending their record as the most successful club in the competition. It was also the first trophy under new coach Hansi Flick, marking an important moment for the team.
