Formula 1's tire supplier Pirelli has mandated a strict 25-lap maximum stint length for all tire sets at the upcoming Qatar Grand Prix, effectively forcing drivers into a minimum two-stop strategy for the 57-lap race. The decision, announced in agreement with the FIA, Formula 1, and the teams, comes after extensive analysis of tire damage from the 2024 event revealed concerning levels of structural fatigue.

Pirelli marked its landmark 500th Formula 1 Grand Prix as the sport’s official tyre partner at the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix, consolidating its unique legacy and technical influence as F1’s exclusive supplier since 2011.
