India Overtakes China as Leading Smartphone Exporter to the U.S. in 2025
India has achieved a watershed moment in global manufacturing, overtaking China as the leading exporter of smartphones to the United States in the second quarter of 2025. According to data from research firm Canalys, devices assembled in India comprised an impressive 44% of all U.S. smartphone imports for the quarter, a monumental leap from just 13% during the same period last year.
