Apple overhauls App Store with new age rating system
Apple announced Thursday a comprehensive overhaul of its App Store age rating system, introducing new 13+, 16+, and 18+ categories while eliminating the existing 12+ and 17+ ratings across all its platforms. The changes, which automatically reassigned ratings for all existing apps and games, represent the company's most substantial update to content classification since the App Store's launch and come amid growing legislative pressure over child safety online.
